ECFE is an early childhood and parent education program for children ages birth to five
and their families. We believe that parents are a child’s first and most important teacher, and
offer many ways for you to learn together. We do this by providing the following services:
- Classes and Drop-in Playtimes
- One-to-one visits: information about children and parenting can be brought to your home
- Early Childhood Screening
- School Readiness Preschool
An ECFE separating class begins with parents and children playing and exploring in the
Early Childhood classroom together with activities planned by a licensed Early Childhood teacher.
The children continue to explore the room as the parents move into the Parent Education room.
During this time parents ask questions, share parenting issues and discuss a variety of topics
with other parents led by a licensed Parent Educator.
No family will be denied participation due to inability to pay.
All Classes Held at Community Corner -
69th and Humboldt Avenue North

ECFE BABY CLASS YOUR WAY (or DIY ECFE)
What are YOU doing with YOUR baby this summer? This ECFE class is just for YOU and YOUR friends. We would like to invite YOU to create an ECFE class for YOU and YOUR friends and babies. If YOU can find 2 or more friends with babies, birth to walking, we will start a 4-week baby class just for YOU. This class will be a non-separating class where parents and babies will spend time together in a classroom set up especially for YOU. YOU and YOUR friends will be encouraged to pick out infant topics to discuss, choose if you would like to learn infant massage techniques, work on sign language, learn early literacy skills, read to YOUR babies. Songs and finger plays can be a part of the class. Be creative and DIY!!!
Cost for this class is $8.00 for the 4-week session, per child. (No family will be denied participation due to inability to pay.)
Please give us a call at Brooklyn Center ECFE, Earle Brown Elementary School, and we will set up a class that will fit YOUR schedule.
