Meet Ms. Bauer

I am one of two music teachers here at Earle Brown Elementary.  This is my 6th year of teaching at Earle Brown, and my 12th year as a music teacher.  I graduated from the College of St. Benedict with a B.A. in Music Education.  My goal as a music teacher is to give my students a well-rounded music education, hopefully allowing them to feel pride and success in all their musical endeavors.  Obviously, music is my greatest passion in life.  My favorite out-of-school hobby is getting out to see live music.  I also love movies, spending time with family and friends, and reading.  Travel is also a necessity in my life.  I enjoy exploring new places and discovering new things.

My greatest accomplishments as a teacher are entirely centered around my students’ accomplishments.  Whenever I see that look of pride and joy on their faces as they learn and perform, it gives me that same feeling of pride and joy.  I’m proud of the fact that every single one of our 1,125 students performs in a concert each year and that they all get to feel that thrill and pride that comes from a job well done.  Two years ago, our students had the opportunity to perform at the Minneapolis Convention Center and also perform for Best Buy Headquarters.  The kids were so thrilled to get to perform in a professional setting and it meant so much to me that the rest of the world got to see how amazing the students of Earle Brown Elementary really are.  I hope to find more opportunities to allow our students to shine!
