Major: Elementary Education with Early Childhood Specialty.
Goal in teaching:
To provide a differentiated classroom that fits the diverse needs of all students. In addition it is important to create a nurturing, consistent and supportive learning environment.
I enjoy spending time with my family. You will often find me at a baseball field watching my son or husband, playing ball. I also enjoy reading, watching T.V. and playing board games.
I started my classroom-teaching career in 2003 in the Hopkins School District.
I job shared in a second grade classroom for three years as well as was a LRT (Learning Resource Teacher). In addition to that I taught an after school ALC (Alternative Learning Center) class. In 2005 I became a Kindergarten teacher at Earle Brown for three years. I have since been an LRT/RTI teacher, Kindergarten Specialist and am currently a Research/Writing Specialist.
