Meet Mrs. Umphrey

My name is Amy Umphrey.  This is my 10th year at Earle Brown Elementary.  Before teaching in Brooklyn Center, I taught four years in the Minneapolis Public School District.  I have lived in Minnesota my entire life.  I attended Benidle St. Margaret’s for high school and continued my higher education at St. Cloud State University.  I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree with an Elementary Education teaching license.  After college, and my first teaching job, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree from St. Mary’s.  I currently hold a Master’s of Arts degree.  My goal in teaching is to inspire my students to always strive for their best and celebrate their successes.

Most of my hobbies and interests revolve around my family.  As a family our most favorite place to go is to our cabin in Wisconsin.  We love to fish, swim and boat.  My husband and I have three children: Ben who is seven and in 2nd grade, Emma who is five and in Kindergarten and Nora who is two.  Needless to say, most evenings are spent at some sporting event.

I look forward to a great year!  I think the best way for students to succeed is the teacher-parent partnership. Please feel free to contact me at any time.  You can reach me by, phone, email or note.  Below is my contact information:
